In the last few weeks my students have been working on their written skills. I asked them to write about their holidays and I decided to use www.Storybird.com. Once they completed the storybird I asked them to record their stories and using www.screencast-o-matic.com as I wanted my students to practise their speaking too.The result is very postitive and I will be doing the same in the near future with other groups (any comments will be appreciated by my students)

During the last 2 weeks, my Y9 Spanish classes have been experimenting with Glogster. The groups had to write about the use of New Technologies and everybody seem to very happy with the final product (including myself!!) 
One of the problems that I have had is that some parts of Glogster is blocked in school so I haven’t been able to export the code in school and I had to do it at home.

Having had more time in the ICT rooms in the last month or so, I have started to experiment a bit more with the use of Web 2.0 technologies with some of my classes. The first thing I decided to do was to use www.dipity.com to create timelines as this was the first time that my Y9 Dual language class (Spanish is their 2nd language) was learning past tense verbs and time phrases in the past. They really enjoyed using this website. See examples:
